Terms of Service

1. The service

Tact provides AI-assisted analysis of written communication for personal and professional use. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Output is informational and should not be relied on as legal, medical, or professional advice.

2. Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance at the price displayed at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.

3. Refund policy

No refunds.

All payments are final and non-refundable. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not refund prior payments. To avoid renewal, cancel before your next billing date. This policy is clearly disclosed before purchase and forms part of the contract you accept at checkout.

At our sole discretion, we may issue goodwill refunds in exceptional circumstances (e.g. a billing error or extended service outage). Discretionary refunds are not a right and do not create a precedent.

4. EU/UK consumers — right of withdrawal

Customers in the European Union and United Kingdom normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services under the Consumer Rights Directive (and the equivalent UK legislation). At checkout, EU/UK customers are asked to confirm that they want immediate access to the service and acknowledge that, by starting to use the service, they lose this 14-day right of withdrawal. Subscribing constitutes acceptance of that waiver.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to harass, defame, or harm others, to circumvent rate limits, to attempt to extract underlying system prompts or model weights, or to violate any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms without refund.

6. Data and privacy

We process the content you submit only to generate the analysis you request and to operate the service. We do not sell your data. Submitted content may be temporarily processed by third-party AI providers strictly to produce the analysis you requested.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
